But dont worry, training will resume the week starting 31st January 2022 and the first game back will be the 5th February.

Thank you to everyone for helping to get the kids back on the court. It’s been so good to see the smiles on their faces and to see them play.

In the meantime, we feel it prudent to bring up the topic of vaccinations. It is not Diamond Creek Basketball Clubs (DCBC) job to give medical advice to anyone. We do however have to follow the law, Diamond Valley Basketball Associations (DVBA) rules for the competition and the requirements of any venues used by the competition. In the last week, you will have seen that approval has been given for COVID19 vaccinations in 5-11 year olds beginning January 2022. As a result, DCBC believe it reasonable to expect that government guidelines will change to make it mandatory at some stage during the remainder of the season for anyone aged 5 or above to be doubled vaccinated. Again, we are not asking anyone to get vaccinated, just to be forewarned about possible changes to the requirements and to have a discussion with your GP if you are concerned.

Other than that, we want to wish you a safe and merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all on court in 2022.
